Steelers claimed WR Sean Morey off waivers from Philadelphia.
Morey will help the Steelers special teams unit and provide depth at wide receiver.

Eagles released wide receivers Sean Morey and Justin Jenkins, defensive tackles Jon Bradley and DeMarco Mcneil, offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges, linebackers Justin Ena and Mike Labinjo, tight end Kori Dickerson, tackle Dante Ellington, cornerback Brandon Haw, defensive end Ron Johnson and punter Nick Murphy.
No major names here. Billy McMullen made the team as their last wide receiver.

Third-year wide receiver LeRon McCoy has been running behind special teamers Sean Morey and Micheal Spurlock at Cardinals offseason activities.
McCoy, who caught 18 passes in ten games as a 2005 rookie under Dennis Green, won’t make the roster at this rate. Steve Breaston has a better chance.

The Cardinals depth chart at wide receiver beyond the top three seems to be changing daily, according to offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
Sean Morey seems like a logical fit to make the club because he’s an excellent special teams player and Steve Breaston’s skills as a return man help his stock. Todd Watkins and Micheal Spurlock could get cut.

Bryant Johnson has missed two days of workouts with a sore hamstring.
He’s somewhat surprisingly been spelled by special teamer Sean Morey as the Cards’ third receiver in the meantime. Johnson, entering a contract year, isn’t in danger of losing his job but could use the reps in the new offense.

Sean Morey practiced with the first unit in the absence of both Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin on Wednesday.
Morey figures to get a start alongside Bryant Johnson if both starters miss this weekend’s game, but he wouldn’t be much of a fantasy option.

Cardinals re-signed WRs Sean Morey and Ahmad Merritt.
With Larry Fitzgerald’s cap-room saving contract signed, the Cardinals are again able to sign fringe players. Morey is almost certain to make the final roster as a special teams gunner. Merritt has his work cut out for him.
