Dolphins signed LS Taybor Pepper, formerly of the 49ers.
Taybor was released by the 49ers last offseason and didn’t play football in 2025. He will be competing with Tucker Addington for the lone long snapper spot on Miami’s roster this offseason.

    49ers released C/LS Taybor Pepper.
Pepper had one year remaining on his deal but earned a career-worst 39.8 PFF special teams grade in 2024. NBC Houston’s Aaron Wilson reports that the 49ers “are legitimately interested” in former Texans C/LS Jon Weeks, who is 39 years old. Weeks earned Pro Bowl honors in 2015.
  • MIA Long Snapper #41
49ers signed LS Taybor Pepper to a three-year extension through 2025.
Pepper, who has snapped balls that go longer than usual snaps for the past three years in San Francisco, has played in the NFL since 2017. He played one offensive snap with the Dolphins in 2019, likely scoffing at Brian Flores as he snapped the ball a more regular distance. The 49ers are the latest team to take advantage of the pre-offseason window to extend the player they trust to snap the ball longer than the rest.

  • MIA Long Snapper #41
Packers placed LS Taybor Pepper on injured reserve with a broken foot, ending his season.
The Packers need a new snapper to snap the snaps that are longer than normal snaps. Second-year UDFA Pepper had replaced injured LS Brett Goode.
