Giants waived RB Gartrell Johnson and WR Tim Brown.
Johnson, a running back-fullback tweener, was claimed off waivers from the Chargers in mid-September of last season. Considering the Giants’ backfield injuries last year, it’s a bad signed that he remained bench bound. Brown was smallish receiver undrafted out of Rutgers.
