Commanders re-signed OL Trent Scott to a one-year contract.
A Commander each of the past three seasons, Scott has totaled since starts during that timespan, though never more than three in any one year. 2026 will be his age-32 campaign. He’s a depth piece whose signing at this stage of the offseason suggests he will probably keep his 53-man roster spot.
  • WAS Running Back #36
Commanders declared RB Chris Rodriguez Jr., QB Jayden Daniels, CB Jonathan Jones, OT Trent Scott, OT George Fant and DE Drake Jackson inactive for Week 15 against the Giants.
Rodriguez was a game-time decision with his groin injury, and the Commanders have decided to not have the tailback go after testing the injury in pre-game. Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols will get the touches with Rodriguez unavailable.
  • WAS Tackle #73
Commanders re-signed OL Trent Scott to a one-year contract.
Although primarily a reserve/swing tackle, 31-year-old Scott actually spent the NFC Championship Game at right guard. It’s that experience and versatility keeping Scott around for another year in the nation’s capital. Signing at this stage of the offseason should hint at a safe 53-man roster position.
  • WAS Tackle
Commander signed RT Trent Scott, formerly of the Steelers.
Scott played just 31 offensive snaps last season after at least 300 in each of the last three seasons. He was depth for the Steelers behind Dan Moore and Chukwuma Okorafor. In Washington, he’ll be depth behind Andrew Wylie and Charles Leno.

  • WAS Tackle
Panthers declared OT Trent Scott, DT Phil Hoskins, OG Michael Jordan, OG Deonte Brown, TE Colin Thompson and DE Darryl Johnson inactive for Week 2 against the Saints.
The Panthers are perhaps the healthiest team in the league heading into Week 2.

  • WAS Tackle
Panthers re-signed OL Trent Scott to a one-year contract.
27-year-old Scott was headed for restricted free agency. He was a valuable reserve in 2020, making 14 appearances, four of which were starts. He manned the blindside for a time. Scott is also capable of playing guard.

  • WAS Tackle
Chargers re-signed OT Trent Scott to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Scott was an exclusive rights free agent. Forced into blindside duties last season, Scott was utterly horrific on Philip Rivers’ left side. Even with Rivers gone, upgrading at tackle is a must for the Bolts this offseason.
