Broncos signed S Tycen Anderson, formerly of the Bengals.
The former fifth-round pick spent the past three seasons in Cincinnati. He didn’t play a single snap on defense until last year, when he logged 64 defensive snaps. Anderson has seen over 700 special teams snaps in the last two years alone. That will be his path to a roster spot in Denver.
  • CIN Safety #26
Bengals placed S Tycen Anderson (knee) on injured reserve.
Anderson, a 2022 fifth round draft pick, lands on IR for the second time in his two NFL seasons. He had eight special teams tackles before suffering a knee injury in Week 8 against the 49ers.
  • Bengals selected Toledo S Tycen Anderson with the No. 166 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Anderson (6'2"/209) finished 2021 with 44 total tackles, two passes defended, and a forced fumble. His size and athleticism were on display at the Combine with a 4.36 40 time and 6.64 three cone, coming away with a 9.49 relative athletic score. He’s a force at the line but also has the speed to stay glued to the assignment. He can catch a running back on a jet sweep to snuff the play, as well. Where he has trouble is against longer, more complicated plays. Anderson’s route recognition needs improvement, as wideouts with quick cuts can often gain separation. He will likely end up playing in the slot and the box at the next level.
