  • FA Safety #39
Cowboys signed Purdue S Tyler Coyle.
Coyle (6'1/209) is one of the best late-round athletes to take a swing on. Though technically a Purdue product, Coyle spent three years contributing at UConn before transferring to and hardly playing at Purdue due to a foot injury. Coyle posted a concerning 7.14-second three-cone drill, but the rest of his athletic charting was outstanding. Coyle cleared the 85th percentile in the 40-yard dash, vertical, broad, and short shuttle. Coyle is quite raw across the board, though, particularly with respect to how he sees the field from deeper alignments. Coyle is a special teamer with some developmental potential due to his athletic traits.

  • FA Safety #39
Former UConn redshirt senior S Tyler Coyle transferred to Purdue as a graduate.
Coyle was one of a plethora of Huskies who entered the transfer portal at the end of the 2019 season. He’s been one of the more consistent defenders for UConn, and recorded 261 tackles and three interceptions over the last three seasons. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety should be an immediate contributor to the Boilermakers’ secondary in 2020.

  • FA Safety #39
UConn redshirt senior S Tyler Coyle is in the transfer portal.
Coyle entered his name prior to the Huskies’ most recent rash of entries. It’s not going the best for Randy Edsall at the moment. Coyle, long one of UConn’s best defenders, has recorded 261 tackles, 7.5 TFL and three interceptions over the past three years.
