    Commanders released C Tyler Larsen.
Larsen was re-signed by the Commanders earlier this offseason but was outperformed by rookie third-rounder Ricky Stromberg in camp. A well-documented injury history also worked against Larsen, but it’s possible he returns to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
  • Commanders re-signed C Tyler Larsen to a one-year, $1.317 million contract.
Larsen started eight games for the Commanders in 2022 but his season ended after he suffered a dislocated knee cap in December. He also missed four games to start the year while working his way back from an Achilles’ injury. Larsen has 29 career starts over seven years and will return to Washington as a depth option for their line.

  • The Athletic’s Ben Standig reports Commanders C Tyler Larsen suffered a dislocated kneecap in Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Giants.
It’s possible this will turn into a season-ending injury for Larsen, who saw his 2021 cut short with an Achilles injury. Larsen has played in eight games this season and provided a much-needed boost to a struggling offensive line after missing all of September. Nick Martin is expected to take over for center during Larsen’s absence.

  • Commanders C Tyler Larsen was spotted with crutches and a leg brace after suffering a right leg injury in Sunday’s Week 13 contest against the Giants.
We’re still waiting for a more definite update on Larsen’s status, but it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing much of him in the coming weeks. Larsen was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after having his leg rolled up on. He has appeared in eight games for the Commanders after missing the first month of the season while recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in 2021. If he’s to miss any time, Nick Martin is most likely to take over as the starting center.

  • Commanders C Tyler Larsen exited Week 13 against the Giants and was carted to the locker room.
Larsen appeared to have had his leg rolled up on by a defender while falling to the ground. With the injury occurring so late in the game, it’s unlikely we’ll know anything on his status until after the game. Nick Martin came on to replace Larsen.

  • Washington activated OL Tyler Larsen (Achilles) from the PUP list.
Larsen’s return comes at a good time with multiple injuries to the team’s offensive line. Washington placed LB Milo Eifler on IR in a corresponding move.

  • Commanders re-signed C Tyler Larsen to a one-year contract.
A longtime Ron Rivera confidant, reserve Larsen made three starts last season. He also missed time with an Achilles issue. On the wrong side of 30, Larsen is a pure depth/leadership option.

  • Washington placed C Tyler Larsen on the reserve/COVID list.
Larsen, Washington’s third-string (and currently starting) center, will join fourth-string C Keith Ismael and S Kam Curl among 18 other players currently stuffed on the organization’s COVID list including four on injured reserve and/or their practice squad. With only 36 active players available (as of now) against Philadelphia, Washington will be forced to field a roster featuring one-third practice squad call-ups in an impossible spot in Week 15.

  • Washington Football Team signed C Tyler Larsen, formerly of the Panthers.
Larsen, who is reuniting with ex-Panthers coach Ron Rivera in Washington, will feature on special teams while providing depth along the interior of the Football Team’s line. Going on 30, he has not started a game on offense since 2018.

  • Panthers C Tyler Larsen was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
It’s not clear if Larsen tested positive for the virus or was in contact with someone who tested positive. Larsen mostly plays special teams, most recently playing five snaps during Carolina’s Week 5 win against Atlanta.
