    Bills released TE Tyson DeVree.
He was just signed by the Bills on Tuesday. The Bills don’t have any stars at tight end, but they like what their three-headed monster of Derek Schouman, Shawn Nelson and Derek Fine can do. DeVree could end up on a practice squad again.
  • IND Tight End
    Bills signed TE Tyson DeVree.
DeVree was waived by the Patriots last week after spending most of 2008 on their practice squad. He’ll play behind Derek Schouman, Shawn Nelson and Derek Fine in Buffalo.

The 24-year-old could resurface on a practice squad.
  • IND Tight End
Patriots promoted TE Tyson DeVree from their practice squad.
DeVree, an undrafted rookie from Colorado, caught 37 balls for 402 yards and eight TDs as a senior for the Buffaloes. He’ll be the Pats’ third tight end.
  • Defensive Lineman
Colts re-signed DTs Antonio Johnson and Eric Foster, OT Michael Toudouze, and OG Kyle DeVan.
They also claimed tight end Tyson DeVree off waivers from Cleveland. Johnson, a 26-year-old rotational reserve, will push for significant snaps this season. Foster is a lightweight former Rutgers Scarlet Knight. Toudouze is a journeyman tackle, and DeVan is the Colts’ probable starting left guard.
  • FA Tight End
Patriots TE David Thomas was a healthy scratch Sunday in favor of undrafted rookie Tyson Devree.
Drafted in the third round in 2006, there were once high hopes for Thomas after a solid start to his rookie year. But he hasn’t been the same since breaking his foot in April 2007. This doesn’t bode well for his future with the team.
  • LA Running Back #35
Browns signed RB Quinn Porter, OTs Phil Trautwein and Branndon Braxton, OG Pat Murray, TE Tyson DeVree, FB Tyler Clutts, and DB DeAngelo Smith to reserve/futures contracts.
Porter was expected to make the Packers out of camp last summer, but his season was derailed by a sprained MCL. He spent time on the Redskins’ practice squad before landing in Cleveland. The Stillman college product will fight for a spot behind Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty next summer.
  • CLE Linebacker
Browns released LB Eric Alexander and TE Tyson DeVree.
Alexander followed Eric Mangini to Cleveland after being a core special teamer in New England. DeVree hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2008.
