    Dolphins released RB Salvon Ahmed.
Ahmed caught on with the Dolphins as an undrafted rookie during the 2020 season. The former Washington Husky rushed 75 times for 319 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season, which included a 23-122-1 performance in Week 15 against the Patriots. Since then, Ahmed has fought to stick around on Miami’s roster. Over the last two seasons, he’s handled 88 carries, taking them for 274 yards and two scores while contributing primarily on special teams. At 25 years old, Ahmed should have no trouble catching on with another team, even if it’s as a camp body over the next few weeks. In addition to Ahmed, the Dolphins also placed wide receiver Willie Snead on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #83
Dolphins signed WR Willie Snead, formerly of the 49ers.
Snead’s career has fizzled out since he posted 1,879 yards in his first two seasons with the Saints, but he is still hanging around the league as a reserve option at receiver and a special teams contributor. He spent the past two years in San Francisco, appearing in four games for both seasons. With Odell Beckham on the PUP list, Snead gives the team an extra body at receiver for the start of training camp.
  • Running Back
49ers elevated RB Tevin Coleman from the practice squad.
Coleman has familiarity with Kyle Shanahan’s system, but it’s unlikely he offers much fantasy upside. Jeff Wilson should still serve as the team’s lead back on Monday night, with rookie Jordan Mason and Marlon Mack both operating in backup roles. It will be interesting to see if Coleman sees any run in his return to the Bay Area. The 49ers also elevated wide receiver Malik Turner and signed Willie Snead to the active roster.

  • Wide Receiver
49ers signed WR Willie Snead, formerly of the Panthers.
The team worked out Dede Westbrook but did not sign him. Snead was phased out of the Raiders’ offense early in the 2021 season before the team agreed to release him. He quickly joined the Panthers’ practice squad and found his way on the gameday roster twice. Snead caught 33 balls for 432 yards and three scores with the Ravens in 2020. At this point in the 29-year-old’s career, it’s hard to see him making the 49ers’ final roster.

  • Wide Receiver
Free agent Willie Snead is working out for the 49ers.
Snead, 29, recently tried out for the Texans and Cardinals. In 2021 he played two games with Carolina and seven games for Vegas, totaling four catches for 38 yards. Snead would be little more than a depth piece in San Francisco.

  • Wide Receiver
Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson reports free agent Willie Snead will visit the Texans.
Snead split time with the Raiders and Panthers last season, totaling four receptions for 38 yards on eight targets. The veteran wide receiver had previously spent three seasons with the Ravens, where he totaled 126 receptions for 1,422 yards and nine touchdowns. The soon-to-be 30-year-old receiver had two seasons of 800+ receiving yards in 2015 and 2016 with the Saints but has struggled to find that same level of production as of late. Snead might be able to carve out a role in Houston’s underwhelming passing game, but it’s unlikely he ever emerges on the fantasy radar.

  • Wide Receiver
Panthers signed WR Willie Snead to their practice squad.
Snead, 29, was released by the Raiders earlier this week and quickly lands on his feet with a Panthers team that lost Brandon Zylstra to I.R. last week and has been without rookie WR Terrace Marshall since a Week 6 concussion. Snead shouldn’t make a fantasy impact.

  • Wide Receiver
    Raiders released WR Willie Snead.
Snead “wasn’t playing much and asked for the release,” per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. The veteran receiver had not logged more than 10 snaps in any game for the Raiders this year, totaling three catches for 32 yards across seven games. 29 as of October, Snead is a viable and experienced slot addition for any team with a pressing need there.

  • Wide Receiver
Raiders signed WR Willie Snead, formerly of the Ravens, to a one-year contract.
It’s another ‘meh’ move for an offense that not only lost the one receiver, Nelson Agholor, who showed glistening rapport with Derek Carr, but also jostled its core pieces in the trenches less than a year after it showed to be the strongest portion of that unit. Hunter Renfrow will still presumably start in between some machination of John Brown, Henry Ruggs, and Bryan Edwards but Snead will likely mix in sporadically. It’s a situation to avoid for fantasy.

  • Wide Receiver
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports free agent Willie Snead will visit the Raiders.
Snead would be the Raiders’ second free agent addition following John Brown after they cut Tyrell Williams and let Nelson Agholor walk in free agency. He would be the least inspiring of additions as a reserve slot man behind Hunter Renfrow.
