Whether you’re interested for fantasy hockey reasons or just want to know which goalie your team is playing in a given day, we thought it might be helpful to share our best guesses (based on various previews from newspapers and Web sites plus our own instincts) on who might start each day. We’ll have tonight’s games covered for you later on this afternoon.
3:00 pm ET game
New Jersey @ NY Islanders
Likely New Jersey starter: Martin Brodeur (Source.)
Likely Islanders starter: Al Montoya (Source.)
5:00 pm ET game
Washington @ Florida
Likely Washington starter: Michal Neuvirth - No confirmation on this (yet?), but with Semyon Varlamov out for at least a week, he’s likely to get most - if not all - of the starts for Washington. He set a new record for Caps rookie goalies with 21 wins, by the way.
Likely Florida starter: Tomas Vokoun - This is a real toss-up, to be honest. If it’s been Vokoun or Scott Clemmensen vs. a different starter, it might be better to go with Plan B.
6:00 pm ET game
Buffalo @ Minnesota
Likely Buffalo starter: Jhonas Enroth - So, Patrick Lalime basically draws a paycheck to be Ryan Miller’s mentor/pal/teacher? (Source.)
Likely Minnesota starter: Jose Theodore (Source.)
