Reds signed RHP Nick Green to a minor league contract.
Green will add to the Reds’ organizational pitching depth this season after posting a serviceable 3.80 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 65/45 K/BB ratio across 71 innings (31 appearances, eight starts) between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the Yankees’ minor-league system last year. The 26-year-old righty, who was traded to the Yankees for Carlos Beltran back in 2016, has yet to reach the majors.

Diamondbacks returned RHP Nick Green to the Yankees.
The Rule 5 pick didn’t show enough in Cactus League play to secure a spot in the team’s Opening Day bullpen. He’ll continue to serve as minor league bullpen depth for the Yankees.

Nick Green tossed a pair of scoreless innings in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Rockies in Cactus League action on Saturday.
Green, a Rule 5 selection from the Yankees, allowed just two baserunners and also struck out one batter. The 23-year-old righty has a chance to make the Diamondbacks 25-man roster as a reliever if he continues to excel this spring, but can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

Yankees acquired RHP Nick Green from the Rangers in the Carlos Beltran trade.
Green was a seventh-round pick in 2014 out of Indians Hills Community College. He has posted an underwhelming 4.98 ERA in seven starts this season with Low-A Spokane and the 21-year-old right-hander was even worse in 2015. Consider him a throw-in.

Diamondbacks selected RHP Nick Green from the Yankees with the 12th pick in the Rule 5 draft.
Green, a product of the Carlos Beltran deal with the Rangers a couple of years ago, went 8-7 with a 3.32 ERA and a 102/64 K/BB ratio in a 2018 season mostly spent in high-A. He’s probably going to need to be a reliever if he’ll be of any use at all in the majors.
