Before swimming races, Michael Phelps is known for swinging his arms wildly to loosen his limbs.

He utilized the same warm-up prior to his first tee shot at the Celebrity Match for the 2016 Ryder Cup on Tuesday.

Phelps was partnered with surfer Kelly Slater. The pair defeated former sprinter John Regis and former tennis player Martina Navratilova, as the U.S. celebrities dominated the Europeans 14-0 over a 9-hole scramble at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota.

Phelps appeared to have fun with the crowd, telling fans that he planned on using one of his 23 Olympic gold medals as a ball marker. He also heard “2020” chants from fans who want him to compete at the Tokyo Games.

“That was pretty funny, because it’s not happening,” Phelps said to RyderCup.com.
