Team USA went 3-0 on the mats on Thursday in Rio, with women wrestlers Elena Pirozhkova, Adeline Gray, and Helen Maroulis advancing from their weightclasses.

First, Maorulis dominated Ukraine’s Yuliia Khavaldzhy Blahinya. Period 1 saw Maroulis win 5-1 and the second was an even better 7-0. The 12-1 win cruises her into the Round of 16 with Zhong Xuechen.

Gray was next, and scooped the only four points of her match with Colombia’s Andrea Olaya Gutierrez. She’ll face Vasilisa Marzaliuk (Belarus) in the quarters.

Elena Pirozhkova showed a powerful burst in the second round to make up for some sloppy moments in a 10-7 win over Bulgaria’s Taybe Mustafa Yusein.

She opened with a 2-0 lead, but gave it back with a lax few moments to bridge the first and second segments. But Pirozhkova buried her opponent with 8-straight points to advance to the quarters, where she’ll grapple with Mongolia’s Soronzonboldyn Battsetseg.
