Texans signed DT P.J. Hall, formerly of the Raiders.
Las Vegas initially had a deal in place to send Hall to Houston for a seventh-round pick until the 25-year-old failed his physical. He was waived the same day. The Raiders’ second-round pick in 2018, Hall started 18 games the past two seasons (including 12 last year) but failed to make a significant impact. Consider him on the bubble for Houston in camp.

    Raiders waived DT P.J. Hall.
The Raiders traded Hall to Minnesota for a seventh-round pick but the deal fell through when Hall failed his physical. Hall, a second-round pick in 2018, started 18 games for the Raiders but never made much of an impact on the field. Hall could land on another team but is still unlikely to finish the summer on a 53-man roster.

Vikings trade acquisition P.J. Hall has failed his physical and reverted back to the Raiders.
The Raiders are then expected to waive the 2018 second-round pick. With roster spots at a premium this summer, Hall is going to be up against it to get a chance to crack someone’s 53-man roster.

Vikings acquired DT P.J. Hall from the Raiders in exchange for a 2020 conditional seventh-round pick.
The Raiders were set to outright release the former second-rounder had the Vikings not jumped in to beat other teams to the wire. Hall disappointed with Las Vegas, making minimal impact as a supposed run-stuffer in 30 games the past two years, but tested well out of college and will be thrust into the fire immediately following big-ticket free agent Michael Pierce’s voluntary opt out. The conditions of Minnesota’s seventh-round pick have not been announced.

Raiders selected Sam Houston State DT P.J. Hall with the No. 57 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Hall (6’1/308) was a four-year starter in the Southland Conference, registering D-IAA all-time records in tackles for loss (86.5) and blocked kicks (14) to go with 42 sacks. Snubbed for a Combine invite, Hall shredded Sam Houston State’s Pro Day with a 4.73 forty, 38-inch vertical, and 36 bench-press reps. Hall is a squatty interior disruptor who doesn’t fit an old-fashioned mold but offers elite production and size-adjusted athleticism.

Raiders activated DT P.J. Hall (pectoral) from the active/PUP list.
He began practicing on Wednesday after missing the first four days of training camp. The 57th overall pick in April’s draft, Hall was a dominant force at Sam Houston State but is making a big jump in competition. He does check boxes for production and athleticism as a dynamic athlete at 6-foot-1, 308.

Raiders declared DT P.J. Hall, DE Fadol Brown, OT T.J. Clemmings, WR Dwayne Harris, OT Justin Murray, CB Nick Nelson, and RB DeAndre Washington for Sunday’s Week 2 game versus the Broncos.
The second-round pick suffered an ankle injury in Monday Night’s game versus the Rams and failed to practice during the week. Fellow rookie fifth-round pick Maurice Hurst and Johnathan Hankins will play a larger role in the Oakland defense against a Broncos team that rushed for 146 yards in Week 1.

Raiders second-round DT P.J. Hall sat out Friday’s practice with a pectoral strain.
Coach Jon Gruden said he’ll miss at least a “couple days.” When healthy, the Sam Houston State alum will provide depth behind starters Justin Ellis and Eddie Vanderdoes at defensive tackle.
