Pirates acquired RHP Pedro Vasquez and LHP Jacob Brentz from the Mariners to complete the trade for RHP Arquimedes Caminero.
Vasquez, a 20-year-old right-hander, is in just his second season of professional ball, posting a 2.26 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 52/9 K/BB ratio over 71 2/3 innings between the Rookie League Mariners and Class-A Clinton. He’s a nice high-upside flier for the Pirates.
