Commanders signed K Ramiz Ahmed.
Ahmed spent two seasons kicking for the University of Nevada, converting on 40-of-44 extra point attempts and 15-of-20 field goals. He had offseason stints with the Bears in 2020 and the Packers in 2022 but never caught on with a regular-season roster. He kicked in six games for the Birmingham Stallions during the 2024 UFL season, going 10-for-13 on his attempts and 4-of-7 on distances of 40-plus yards. Ahmed is far from a lock to be the Commanders’ Week 1 kicker, as the team will likely bring in additional competition for training camp.
