Arizona State junior PG Remy Martin has entered the 2020 NBA Draft.
A 6-foot, 170-pound point guard, Martin appears ready to move on to the professional ranks given the tenor of the statement he released on Monday. One of the best point guards in the country, he was a first team all Pac-12 selection and posted averages of 19.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 3-pointers per game. Martin’s shooting percentages weren’t great, as he made 43.2% of his field goals and 33.5% of his shots from beyond the arc. But he’s an outstanding leader that plays with a high amount of energy on both ends of the floor. Not being able to work out in front of NBA decision makers, if things remain as they currently are due to the coronavirus pandemic, could make it difficult for Martin to show that he’s worthy of a shot at competing for a roster spot.
