Coach Pete Carroll singled out undrafted rookie OG Rishaw Johnson for his work in offseason practices.
“Showed some tremendous stuff,” Carroll said of the small-school California (PA) star. “We liked him going through the later rounds of the draft. He’s just a long ways down the road of understanding how to play the game.” Johnson was impressive enough that he began to steal a few first-team reps earlier this month.

Chiefs promoted OG Rishaw Johnson from the practice squad.
LB Josh Martin was waived in a corresponding roster move. A second-year undrafted free agent, Johnson spent time on the Seahawks’ roster last season, but has never appeared in an NFL game.

The Chiefs are rotating Rishaw Johnson and rookie Zach Fulton at right guard.
Johnson is currently penciled in as the starter after showing well in his one start last season, but sixth-rounder Fulton has shown he is capable as well. Right guard is one of several holes the Chiefs need to fill along their offensive line.

The Chiefs have penciled in Rishaw Johnson as their starting right guard.
Signed off Kansas City’s practice squad last September, Johnson showed promise in a Week 17 spot start against San Diego. The Seahawks were also high on Johnson at one point during his 2012 undrafted rookie season. The Chiefs have a ton of holes to fill on the offensive line after losing key guards Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah, as well at left tackle Branden Albert in free agency.

Bucs acquired OG Rishaw Johnson from the Chiefs in exchange for S Kelcie McCray.
Johnson lost right-guard duties to rookie Zach Fulton in Kansas City. A third-year UDFA, Johnson made three appearances in 2013, including one start. In theory, he’ll be in the mix for a starting job on Tampa’s undermanned offensive line, but will need time to get up to speed. He joins Oniel Cousins, Patrick Omameh, Jamon Meredith and Kadeem Edwards in the Bucs’ muddled post-Carl Nicks situation.

    Bucs released G Rishaw Johnson.
It’s not a good sign that Johnson couldn’t keep a roster spot on the guard-needy Bucs. QB Mike Kafka has been promoted from the practice squad.

    Redskins signed OL Rishaw Johnson.
The Redskins need healthy bodies along with offensive line for Sunday’s finale against the Cowboys. Trent Williams (shoulder) is in doubt.
