Padres signed OF Robert Perez Jr. to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 23-year-old outfielder spent his first six minor league seasons in the Mariners’ organization. He spent most of his time in 2023 at Double-A Arkansas where he slashed .242/.321/.416 with 16 homers, 62 RBI and two stolen bases in 508 plate appearances. He’ll add outfield depth in the upper minors for the Friars.
