Jaguars signed San Jose State TE Ryan Otten.
Otten (6-foot-5, 242) secured 99 passes for 1,481 yards (15.0 YPR) and nine touchdowns over his final two college seasons. He ran forty times of 4.69 and 4.76 at the Spartans’ Pro Day, also registering a 33-inch vertical. Otten only did 17 bench reps and obviously isn’t going to help as a blocker, but he is long and athletic and has been compared to a “poor man’s Tyler Eifert” by ESPN’s Mel Kiper. The Jaguars don’t have a clear No. 2 tight end behind Marcedes Lewis.
