Titans sixth-round pick Sebastian Tretola is “in the mix” to start at left guard.
The Titans would like 2015 third-rounder Jeremiah Poutasi to run away with the job, but Tretola could be an option if he falters. With Tretola perhaps a better fit on the right side, Tennessee might also flirt with the idea of moving RG Chance Warmack to left guard.
  • Titans signed No. 193 overall pick OG Sebastian Tretola to a four-year contract.
Voted as the SEC’s top offensive lineman last year, Tretola fell to the sixth round due to his athletic limitations. At 6'4/314, he’s a power blocker in the run game. Tretola could eventually push Jeremiah Poutasi to start at left guard.
  • Titans OG Sebastian Tretola was reportedly shot in the ankle and leg in Fayetteville, Arkansas early Sunday morning.
Aside from that it happened early in the morning outside a bar, details surrounding the incident are scarce, but the Titans confirmed Tretola “received treatment for a wound when he was grazed by a bullet” and has already been released from the hospital. It sounds like his injuries are minor, but we will not know until more information comes to light. The Titans open training camp on Saturday.
  • Titans waived OG Sebastian Tretola.
A sixth-round pick last year, Tretola played three offensive snaps as a rookie. He was shot in the ankle and leg earlier this week in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
  • Titans selected Arkansas G Sebastian Tretola with the No. 193 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.
Tretola (6'4/314) started at left guard two years for the Razorbacks after transferring from community college, earning 2015’s co-Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the SEC’s top offensive lineman. Tretola’s short arms (31 1/2") render him an interior-only lineman, but his power and toughness fit well there. Tretola’s obvious weakness is his sub-par athleticism. Still, Tretola’s ability to move people gives him NFL value. He’s a no-frills, phone-booth mauler.
