    Frankoff was tagged for a whopping seven hits, including a titanic solo homer by Tyler O’Neill in the fifth inning. He struck out five batters and also issued four walks. The 32-year-old righty owns a 9.22 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 11/9 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings (three starts) this season. It’s unclear whether he’ll get another turn in the Diamondbacks’ rotation, but he’s lined up to face the Brewers in Milwaukee on Thursday. He’s not a recommended fantasy option moving forward.

    Seth Frankoff allowed five runs on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Rockies on Friday.
    Frankoff made his second start of the season for Arizona on Friday at Coors Field. With two outs, he allowed two base hits before Ryan McMahon took one deep left-center to make it 3-0 in the first inning. Frankoff was hurt by the long-ball once again in the second inning with a two-run shot by Raimel Tapia. He tossed two more innings before his day was done at 68 pitches. The 32-year-old right hander ended the outing with a 7.27 ERA through two starts. Frankoff is in line for a start against the Giants in Arizona his next time out.

    This was also Frankoff’s first appearance for the Diamondbacks. His first two innings were disorganized, but the 32-year-old eventually settled down, inducing nine swings-and-misses. He came one out short of qualifying for a win. Frankoff will get another chance to pitch against the Dodgers next week.

    The right-hander racked up four strikeouts on the evening while walking one. After getting through the first two innings unscathed, Frankoff surrendered a two-run blast to Corey Seager in the third inning, accounting for all of the damage against him. The 32-year-old hurler is fighting an uphill battle in an attempt to land a spot in the D’Backs Opening Day bullpen.
