Could QPR be stuck with Loic Remy?

According to The Mirror, it’s entirely possible that relegated Queens Park Rangers could be stuck with French striker Loic Remy and his £75,000-per-week salary while in the Championship.

Remy, who is currently embroiled in a rape investigation, has garnered zero interest from other Premier League clubs according to the report.

The 26-year-old joined QPR in January with hopes of saving the struggling club from relegation, but with that having failed, chairman Tony Fernandes apparently is trying to get rid of the frontman’s salary.

Newcastle were rumored to be interested before his move to QPR (how surprising, given he’s French) but Remy told them no before joining Rangers at the last minute. Now, local papers say Fernandes offered Newcastle a second go at Remy, but they turned it down.

Some good news for Rangers fans, Fernandes was able to sell defender Chris Samba back to Anzhi Makhachkala for the same £12 million ($17.9 million) they bought him for, somehow.
