On Saturday seven games took place in the Premier League as the tussle for the top four continues to dominate the headlines.

Chelsea’s 5-0 win over Swansea City will make most of the backpages too, as Jose Mourinho’s side blew the Swans away to go five points clear at the top. In the battle for the top four Southampton, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool all won, while Crystal Palace secured a sensational comeback victory over Burnley.

Swansea 0-5 Chelsea - RECAP
Two goals each from Oscar and Diego Costa plus a strike from Andre Schurrle saw the Blues cruise to victory in south Wales. The Swans didn’t do much wrong but Chelsea were unstoppable as they stay top of the Premier League table.
Tottenham 2-1 Sunderland - RECAP
Jan Vertonghen put Spurs ahead early on but Sebastian Larsson’s stunning free kick leveled things up. The winner did not arrive until the final few minutes as Chrsitian Eriksen popped up once again to deliver a 2-1 win. Spurs back in the top five.
Burnley 2-3 Crystal Palace - RECAP
The Clarets raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to Ben Mee and Danny Ings, but Dwight Gayle pulled one back, then Jason Puncheon equalized before Gayle struck late on to seal a dramatic comeback win. Pardew’s Palace are flying while the Clarets will rue this missed opportunity.
Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool - RECAP
Goals from Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert saw the Reds make it four wins in five as their resurgence continued against a poor Villa outfit. With Daniel Sturridge soon returning, the Reds are back in the top four hunt. Big time.
QPR 0-2 Manchester United - RECAP
Two second half goals sealed the win for United as substitutes Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson grabbed the goals. LVG was delighted.
Newcastle United 1-2 Southampton - RECAP
Eljero Elia scored twice as Southampton won for the fifth time in their last six games. Yoan Gouffran pulled the Magpies level with a bizarre goal but Saints steadied their nerves to keep their remarkable season going.
Leicester City 0-1 Stoke City - RECAP
Bojan’s moment of brilliance was the difference at the King Power Stadium as a tight game played out. Stoke are now into the top 10 while the Foxes are still bottom.
