The right call. What an incredible manager he has been for the Football Club but the time to move on is now. So begins a new era. https://t.co/L0mmMhL7FL

To the man who gave me my chance as a 16 year old, and showed unbeliveable faith and commitment towards me. Always a gentleman, like a father through tough times in my career. He always believed in me when most people didn't. Thank you for everything boss! It's down to us no… pic.twitter.com/wTmjTSYwNx

David Dein invited 9 of us correspondents into Highbury board-room to meet #Wenger in 96. Arsene spoke for 50 mins, and we were spellbound by his attacking philosophy, belief in nutrition (broccoli!) & obsession with #afc as a community club. A visionary had arrived. 1/10

Change is inevitable and at least the decision has been made before the end of the season. If the squad have any feeling for AW they will play possessed and win the Europa League! Give AW the send off he deserves!!! 👍🏿❤️⚽️ pic.twitter.com/A7Ig2dORCZ

And so we bid adieu to a French revolutionary who changed the face of English football. Arsene Wenger's @Arsenal came to represent the game as it should be played. He has never been anything other than a pleasure to deal with. I hope he gets the send-off he deserves #merciarsene

Arsène Wenger taught me more about life than he did about football. And that’s why I’ll always love him as an inspirational figure, as well as the most successful manager Arsenal have ever had. #MerciArsène
