Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is finally able to train with the club that lured him out of the United States.

The 16-year-old playmaker turned pro earlier this week when he received the Croatian passport that allows him to perform for Borussia Dortmund, and Jurgen Klopp rewarded the development with a First Team training session.

Croatia hopes to convince Pulisic to enter its national team set-up in the future, and his continued progress will only serve to stoke that fire (although.

As for the First Team training, here’s Klopp. From MLSSoccer.com:

“We were short at his position, and that’s why we called him up,” Klopp told reporters. “He did a good job. He can kick the ball around really well. And in a very intense training session with narrow spaces, he did not stand out in a negative way. That is a real sign of quality.”

So is this:

At least one U.S. teen prodigy is having some good fortune in the Bundesliga (Sorry, Julian Green). Either way, good news for USMNT fans. Anyone wary of the Croatian threat?
