UEFA Champions League preview: Spurs, Foxes get Tuesday tests

The UEFA Champions League’s group stage reaches the midpoint after this week’s matches, and Leicester City is hoping to cement its status as a knockout round favorite.

The Foxes are two-for-two in wins, with Copenhagen coming to King Power Stadium for a Tuesday visit. Leicester City has bested Club Brugge and FC Porto, and hopes home field can be a boon for its UCL-focused squad.

The other Premier League squad in action in Tottenham Hotspur, which pays a visit to tricky Bayer Leverkusen. The Chicharito-led Germans have a pair of draws but could better its odd significantly by holding serve at home against Spurs.

Speaking of CONCACAF stars, there are as many as three on show when Borussia Dortmund hits Portugal to meet Sporting Lisbon. The BVB ally is USMNT star Christian Pulisic, with Costa Rica’s Joel Campbell and Bryan Ruiz on the Sporting books.

Also in play: La Liga’s second- and third-place teams expect wins, while Lyon hopes to handle UCL powers Juventus. Monaco heads East to meet CSKA Moscow, and Club Brugge hosts FC Porto.
