VIDEO: Brendan Rodgers previews Liverpool vs Tottenham

With a pair of in-form teams set to meet Tuesday at Anfield, something has to give.

Liverpool hasn’t lost yet in 2015, with five wins and three draws over their last eight matches despite a shaken-up lineup and Daniel Sturridge still not yet fit to make the starting lineup. Another win over Spurs would be huge given it would pull the Reds within one point of Mauricio Pochettino’s club in the table, and level with Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is lit on fire as well, and Harry Kane is the guilty arsonist. Kane has seven goals over his last five games and 10 in his last 10, and as a result Spurs has lost just once over that span, with seven wins during the stretch. Christian Eriksen is at the top of his game as well, and the two have set this team alight.

But to the Liverpool manager, not much has changed from last time they played, a 3-0 win for the Reds at White Hart Lane just three games into the season. “Their principals and identity are still very much the same. They want to press the game, they want to control the ball, and for us in our way of working, it’s pretty much similar, so it should be a fascinating game.”
