Paris Saint-Germain fans know that Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn’t actually passed away, don’t they? The big Swede is only leaving the club this summer, as he announced earlier this week. He’s not even retiring. In fact, he’s reportedly headed to the LA Galaxy either in the summer or at the start of the 2017 Major League Soccer season.

Zlatan was right about one thing, though: he really is leaving like a legend. The craziest part is that it only took him four seasons (Ligue 1 titles - 4; Coupe de la Ligue - 3; Coupe de France - 1) to warrant the halting play so he could be applauded into his very own sunset in the middle of a game.

In the middle of a game. Play eventually resumed, and Zlatan scored seven minutes later, because of course he did.

He is now tied with Carlos Bianchi for the record of most goals scored in a single Ligue 1 season (37).
UPDATE: Zlatan went on to score his second of the day just before the end of regular time, breaking Bianchi’s 38-year-old record. Following the goal, Zlatan’s two sons joined him on the field. They left the field together with the game still being played, and PSG finished with just 10 men on the field. *drops microphone*
