    Jaguars re-signed WR Terry Godwin.
Jacksonville did not disclose contract details in their announcement, but it is likely a one-year deal for Godwin, who was an exclusive rights free agent. Godwin has made three appearances since joining the league in 2019 and spent last season on injured reserve. If he latches onto the roster in August, it will likely be as a special teamer.

Jaguars signed WR Terry Godwin to the practice squad.
Godwin, the No. 237 overall pick this offseason, was waived by the Panthers after five preseason receptions, but he’ll get another shot in Jacksonville with fellow rookie Keelan Doss back in Oakland. Godwin was a relative bust at Georgia after coming in as a five-star prospect.

Panthers waived WR Terry Godwin, DE Bryan Cox, LB Jared Norris, S Cole Luke, OG Rishard Cook, S Corrion Ballard, CB Josh Thornton, S Quin Blanding, TE Temarrick Hemingway, DT Bijhon Jackson, LB Sione Teuhema, WR DeAndrew White and TE Marcus Baugh.
Baugh was waived/injured. The No. 237 overall pick of the draft, Godwin managed just five preseason receptions for 30 yards. He will still presumably be stashed on the practice squad.
  • FA Wide Receiver #80
Panthers selected Georgia WR Terry Godwin with the No. 237 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Godwin (5'11/184) was a five-star recruit that made nine starts as a true freshman. He never lived up to the hype, getting outshined by Mecole Hardman and Riley Ridley his final two years. Godwin’s senior year was derailed by a leg injury, but he still managed to play in 13 games. He gives the Panthers a slot option to compete with Curtis Samuel.
