UNLV’s all-time leading rusher, Cornett lasted just days in Cards camp after initially signing with Bruce Arians’ club as an undrafted free agent. He offers plus measurables (4.48, 10'5" broad jump at 6'0/209), and is entering a prime landing spot with Arian Foster on the shelf, and Andre Brown as the lone established NFL player behind Foster. Cornett (6-foot 1/4, 209) left UNLV as the Rebels’ all-time leading rusher, toting the rock 769 times for 3,733 yards (4.85 YPC) and 35 career touchdowns. He added 67 catches. Cornett particularly impressed at the Combine, clocking 4.48 in the forty with an explosive 10-foot-5 broad jump. A one-cut runner with plus athleticism and size, Cornett is a name to monitor in Dynasty circles. With little depth behind second-year starter Andre Ellington, Cornett has a legitimate shot to make the Cardinals’ roster.

Cornett was signed by Houston two weeks ago and was cut along with fellow RBs Andre Brown and Dennis Johnson on Monday. He’s now been with the Cardinals and Texans since going undrafted in May. Cornett (6-foot, 209) ran a 4.48 forty and posted a 10-foot-5 broad jump in the lead-up to the draft.
