According to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News, the KBO’s LG Twins have informed Tyler Wilson that he will not be brought back for the 2021 season.
Wilson pitched well out of the LG Twins’ starting rotation in both 2018 and 2019 before stumbling to an underwhelming 4.42 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 109/39 K/BB ratio over 144 2/3 innings (25 starts) in 2020. The 31-year-old right-hander could look to sign on with a different team in the Korea Baseball Organization, or maybe he’ll go for a minor league deal and try to return to MLB-affiliated ball.

Tyler Wilson has re-signed with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.
It’ll be a one-year, $1.6 million contract, after he made $1.5 million in 2019 and $800,000 in 2018. Wilson last appeared in a Major League Baseball game back in 2017 and posted a 7.04 ERA and 9/4 K/BB ratio across 15 1/3 innings that season with the Orioles. The right-hander turned 30 years old in September.

The LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization announced Wednesday that they have re-signed right-hander Tyler Wilson to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.
The former Orioles’ hurler found success in his first season overseas, going 9-4 with a 3.07 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 149/35 K/BB ratio across 170 innings. Rather than attempting to parlay that success into an opportunity with a big league club, Wilson will return to the Twins for a second season.

Tyler Wilson yielded three runs in 6 2/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Monday.
Wilson gave up eight hits in all and walked a pair while striking out four batters. It was a solid outing, but a solo homer from Jackie Bradley, Jr. in the sixth inning did him in. With a 3.83 ERA over seven starts and three relief appearances, Wilson has done a respectable job for the Orioles this season, but it’s hard to be optimistic about him with his inability to miss bats. He has just 26 strikeouts in 49 1/3 innings.

Tyler Wilson was pounded for eight earned runs in only three innings to take a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.
He gave up nine hits, walked two and fanned two. All eight runs scored on home runs: a three run bomb by Nelson Cruz, a three-run bomb by Seth Smith and a two run blast by Mike Zunino. Wilson now has a 5.22 ERA and a woeful 4.78 strikeouts per nine innings.

Orioles recalled RHP Tyler Wilson from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson has an ugly 5.22 ERA in 81 innings (13 starts, three relief appearances) this season at the major league level. He’ll serve as a mop-up man.

Tyler Wilson was roughed up for five earned runs on seven hits and struck out only one batter as his record fell to 2-5 against the Yankees on Saturday night.
The only good news is he didn’t walk anybody. Most of the damage came in a four-run fourth inning that saw the Yankees bunch together three singles and two doubles. Wilson has a very low career strikeout rate. His pitch-to-contact style makes him an unattractive fantasy commodity. The bad outing boosted his ERA up to 4.39 heading into his next start in Toronto on Thursday.

Orioles recalled RHP Tyler Wilson from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson holds a 5.38 ERA between the rotation and bullpen this season. He’ll given the ‘pen some length.

Tyler Wilson wasn’t at his best on Thursday, surrendering five runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays.
Wilson walked three and struck out three in the contest. The Blue Jays got to him early, rallying for three runs in the opening frame and adding on another in the second. He now boasts a 4.73 ERA and 1.27 WHIP and remains a very unattractive fantasy commodity. He’ll draw a difficult assignment his next time out, facing the Red Sox in Boston on Wednesday.

Orioles optioned RHP Tyler Wilson to Triple-A Norfolk.
The Orioles were forced to deplete their bullpen in Friday’s loss to the Astros, so he’ll be sent out for additional bullpen help. Wilson should return to the O’s bullpen once rosters expand in September.
