Browns signed Florida EDGE Tyreak Sapp.
Sapp (6’2/273) was excellent in 2024 during his redshirt junior season at Florida with seven sacks and 13 tackles for loss. That production dwindled considerably in 2025, as he finished with just one sack and 3.5 tackles for loss despite starting all 12 games for the Gators. His size and strength are considered his best assets with the potential to both rush from the inside and out, but he didn’t show the same sort of quickness during his senior season, and he gets the “tweener” designation because he doesn’t really fit at defensive tackle or as an EDGE. Sapp’s 2024 production is tough to ignore, but it’s hard to envision him being much more than a rotational player in the NFL.

Florida four-star 2021 verbal DE commit Tyreake Sapp released a top-five list of Florida, Alabama, Ohio State, Miami and Georgia Tech.
Well this is a new one for us, as we can’t recall the last time we saw a committed player put out a top-five list. Sapp (6'2/255) initially pledged to Florida way, way back in December of 2018 and hasn’t budged off in the interim. Speaking with 247Sports regarding this somewhat off-angle list, the four-star edge rusher said, “I’m solid with [Florida], but I can always change my mind or make a different decision. I put out a new group of schools because those are the ones that have been talking to me throughout the recruiting process.” Fair enough, young man. For obvious reasons, Sapp is now worth monitoring for a potential decommitment or flip in the days and weeks ahead. On the 247Sports composite board, the Fort Lauderdale native ranks as the No. 96 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
