Seahawks signed FB Wesley Steiner, formerly of the Raiders, to a contract.
The Raiders briefly rostered Steiner after he went undrafted earlier this year. Steiner will technically be listed as the FB3, with standout rookie FB Robbie Ouzts penciled in as the starter and FB Brady Russell spending half his time at TE. The signing reinforces the notion that Seattle is committed to establishing the run this season, which is good news for both Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet. The team correspondingly waived LB Michael Dowell.

Auburn received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 LB Wesley Steiner.
We have seen a flurry of big-name commitments on Tuesday, none bigger so far than that of Steiner. The 6-foot, 218-pound linebacker plays a relentlessly physical brand of football and brings an elite level of athleticism to the table. He and fellow four-star LB pledge Trenton Simpson give the Tigers one of the scariest pair of linebacker commits in the class. Both could potentially see the field early and often under HC Gus Malzahn come the 2020 campaign. On the 247Sports composite board, Steiner ranks as the No. 72 overall prospect in the class.

Uncommitted four-star 2020 LB Wesley Steiner is taking an official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend.
The Yellow Jackets have been rolling up the three-star commitments this offseason, but they have a chance to do even more serious damage with players like Steiner and four-star T Connor McLaughlin showing interest. Both Steiner and McLaughlin are taking official visits to HC Geoff Collins’ outfit this weekend. For his part, the 6-foot, 218-pound Steiner is seriously considering Auburn, LSU and Stanford in addition to the Yellow Jackets. Physicality, strength and aggression are the buzzwords when it comes to the Warner Robins, Georgia, native. On the 247Sports composite board, Steiner slots in as the No. 70 overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Rivals analyst Chad Simmons hinted that uncommitted three-star 2020 LB Wesley Steiner will receive a fourth star when the outlet releases its next rankings update.
Simmons refers to Steiner as a “soon-to-be four-star linebacker.” The 6-foot, 218-pound native of Warner Robins, Georgia, has whittled his field of contenders to four programs, those being Auburn, LSU, Georgia Tech and Stanford. He is not yet set on a date for his commitment, as it’s possible that he waits until the fall, when he can take game day visits to his programs of interest. In the short term, an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech could be in the cards for next week. At this juncture, Rivals ranks Steiner as the No. 41 prospect in the state of Georgia for the 2020 cycle.
