Mark Berman of FOX 26 reports that the Rockies are in the process of signing left-hander Zac Rosscup.
It will presumably be a minor league deal. He’ll still need to go through a physical and COVID-19 screening before the deal becomes official. Rosscup was with the Rockies in the spring and cut loose at the start of July before pitching in the independent Constellation Energy League. The 32-year-old pitched with the Dodgers, Mariners, and Blue Jays last year while posting a 5.40 ERA and 26/19 K/BB ratio over 18 innings. He’ll function as bullpen depth for Colorado.
