  • COL Catcher #15

Goodman has been the subject of trade rumors as of late, and this certainly didn’t hurt his stock if he truly is available. The three roundtrippers bring him up to 30 on the season, and he was able to plate five so his RBI total improves to 56. Goodman was a breakout star last year, but he’s been even better in 2026 with those aforementioned totals and an .886 OPS to go with them. He’s probably staying in Colorado — why on Earth they would trade him is anyone’s guess — but Goodman has the type of power that will play in whatever park he lands in.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #26
McLean gave up two hits, walked two and struck out 10. He improved to 7-6 with the win. McLean had been pitching well in his last three starts entering Sunday with only two runs allowed in 18 innings with 19 strikeouts. Against the Phillies, he was dominant with 10 strikeouts and only four baserunners allowed. McLean has a 3.34 ERA. He’s lined up to face the Dodgers at home next weekend.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #18
Yamamoto, who did throw two complete games in the postseason last year, allowed four hits, walked none and struck out seven in a 102-pitch masterpiece. He gave up a homer to Trent Grisham in the fourth. The other run came in the eighth after center fielder Andy Pages lost Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s flyball in the sun for a double, and Anthony Volpe followed with an RBI single. Yamamoto is the first pitcher to throw a complete game against the Yankees since Sandy Alcantara on Aug. 12, 2023. He’ll take a 10-6 record and a 2.78 ERA into his next outing against the Mets.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #38
Bradish hasn’t had his best season — in fact it’s been his worst by ERA at 3.61 since his rookie campaign — but it’s certainly understandable why Baltimore would want to wrap the 29-year-old up at a rate that makes sense for both parties. For his career, he owns a The right-hander will pitch at or near the top of the Baltimore rotation for the remainder of the decade, barring a trade, of course. He owns a career 3.50 ERA, 9.4 K/9 and 1.20 WHIP over his 465 career innings.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #17
Jones drew the starting assignment for the front-end of Saturday’s doubleheader at Progressive Field and touched triple digits 11 times during an impressive 74-pitch outing where he leaned almost exclusively on his fastball and slider. The lone run against him came on an RBI triple from Travis Bazzana with two outs in the third inning. The Pirates have been cautious with his workload as he returns from Tommy John surgery, but he’s looked outstanding since the start of July, allowing just two runs while compiling a 23/3 K/BB ratio over 15 innings across his last three starts. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues at this point based on his strikeout upside alone.
  • MIL 2nd Baseman #2
Braden Shewmake takes over at the keystone with Turang taking a seat after fouling a ball off his right foot during Friday’s second-half opener. He’s delivered top-three fantasy value at second base this season, hitting .263/.359/.460 with 66 runs scored, 14 homers, 60 RBI and 15 steals in 421 plate appearances through 92 games. It’s unclear whether there are any plans for him to undergo imaging at this juncture. There should be a more definitive update on his status later this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #64
Somehow, Bennett returned. He struck out just three, but allowed only one hit, a single to Junior Caminero, in a gem. Bafflingly, he only found four whiffs in 26 swings and his velocity was down a full tick. He also allowed only four hard-hit balls. Bennett has a 1.87 ERA over his last seven starts and should be viewed as a locked-in 12-team starter against the Orioles next week.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #20
Vargas supplied the lone hit for either side in a low-scoring Midsummer Classic when he took his former Dodgers minor league teammate Justin Wrobleski deep with a 433-foot blast into the second deck in left field in the eighth inning. The American League’s pitching staff was the story in this one, piling up an astronomical 15 strikeouts and tossed a three-hit shutout. Vargas was one of the driving forces behind Chicago’s rapid turnaround, finishing the first half with a .245/.355/.493 slash line with a career-high 21 homers, 59 RBI and 11 stolen bases across 409 plate appearances through 94 games. The White Sox kick off the second half with a road series against the Blue Jays.
  • CWS Shortstop
Cholowsky receives a $10.35 million signing bonus, which represents a roughly $1 million under-slot deal, as the top-overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. The 21-year-old was universally regarded as the most polished collegiate shortstop in at least a decade with a real chance to be above average both at the plate and in the field. From a fantasy standpoint, he projects as a strong contributor in the power department with enough hit tool projection to envision a respectable batting average. He won’t help at all in the stolen base department, which caps his realistic upside. Still, he’s a phenomenal prospect with a chance to bolster Chicago’s rapidly improving young nucleus as one of their future franchise cornerstones.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Misiorowski has made the leap from hard-throwing phenom to top-of-the-rotation force within the last few months, posting a microscopic 1.62 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 167/27 K/BB ratio across 111 innings over 18 first-half starts. The 24-year-old flame-thrower won’t reach free agency until 2032, but with more teams prioritizing long-term extensions with their top young players, it feels a bit surprising that there haven’t even been preliminary talks yet. Misiorowski is slated to resume throwing this week after being scratched from his final first-half outing due to fatigue. It doesn’t appear to be a serious concern, but fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status coming out of the All-Star break.

Spain are World Cup winners for the second time in their history after dominating Argentina in the 2026 final in a way that perhaps we will never see in a major tournament final ever again.
Argentina could not get the ball to Messi. They did a lot of things. Hard fouls, post-whistle “afters,” and more — but they just couldn’t find him. Perhaps it’s a bit fitting — the villains couldn’t find their hero.
