Misiorowski has made the leap from hard-throwing phenom to top-of-the-rotation force within the last few months, posting a microscopic 1.62 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 167/27 K/BB ratio across 111 innings over 18 first-half starts. The 24-year-old flame-thrower won’t reach free agency until 2032, but with more teams prioritizing long-term extensions with their top young players, it feels a bit surprising that there haven’t even been preliminary talks yet. Misiorowski is slated to resume throwing this week after being scratched from his final first-half outing due to fatigue. It doesn’t appear to be a serious concern, but fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status coming out of the All-Star break.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher
Anderson drew the starting assignment for the American League and delivered a near-flawless 10-pitch frame that perfectly encapsulated the polish that has made him one of the top pitching prospects in baseball. He coaxed a pop up from Eli Willits and got Roldy Brito to ground out before surrendering an opposite-field single to Jesús Made. He managed to get out of the frame unscathed by inducing a deep fly ball from Charlie Condon. He averaged 94.3 mph on his four-seam fastball and topped out at 95.4 mph. The 22-year-old southpaw has authored a dominant professional debut, compiling a pristine 1.36 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 108/10 K/BB ratio across 72 2/3 innings over 14 starts at Double-A Arkansas. He’s on track to reach Seattle later this summer and offers enough strikeout upside to make an immediate fantasy impact upon arrival.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #45
Wheeler added that he felt disrespected and didn’t want to be the fifth choice after the league finally reached out on Friday to offer him a spot on the senior circuit’s roster as a replacement. The 36-year-old veteran should’ve been in the Midsummer Classic much sooner in the process after putting together a remarkable first-half performance in his return from last year’s surgery to address thoracic outlet syndrome, posting a sublime 2.28 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 98/20 K/BB ratio across 87 innings over 14 starts since April 25.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #70
Wrobleski was among the most prominent snubs for the Midsummer Classic. He winds up earning a well-deserved ticket to Philadelphia as a replacement for Reds flame-thrower Chase Burns, who will not pitch in the Midsummer Classic. The 25-year-old southpaw made a real statement in his final first-half outing, piling up nine strikeouts and allowing one run over seven innings against the Rockies earlier this week. He holds a sparkling 2.69 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 73/20 K/BB ratio across 100 1/3 innings of work.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #52
Harrison heads to the injured list after revealing earlier this week that he’s been pitching through soreness on the outside of his elbow for the past couple weeks, an issue that limited him to just four innings against the Cardinals in his most recent start. The immediate concern is whether the issue extends beyond inflammation and points to something more serious that could sideline him for an extended period. The 24-year-old emerging fantasy ace had put together a stellar first half, establishing himself as a borderline top-20 starter with a pristine 3.01 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 101/20 K/BB ratio across 83 2/3 innings over 17 starts. There should be additional clarity on his status in the coming days.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #31
Schlittler put together a sublime rebound performance after getting torched for a season-high six runs, including four home runs, by the Tigers in his previous start. A run-scoring single from Richie Palacios in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. The 25-year-old burgeoning fantasy ace reached eight punchouts for the seventh time in 19 starts and holds a sparkling 2.01 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 131/21 K/BB ratio across 112 innings. He’ll wrap up a two-start week with a road tilt against the Nationals on Saturday to close out the first half.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #21
Greene returns to Cincinnati’s rotation after missing the first three months of the season recovering from surgery to remove bone chips and loose bodies from his pitching elbow. The hard-throwing 26-year-old fantasy ace shouldn’t have any workload restrictions in his long-awaited season debut after throwing 82 pitches over 6 1/3 innings during his final rehab start for Triple-A Louisville last weekend. He’s struggled to stay healthy since arriving in the majors a couple years ago, but delivered a phenomenal 2.76 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 132/26 K/BB ratio across 107 2/3 innings last year, making him one of the more impactful arms in the fantasy landscape on a per-inning basis.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #55
Not great. We’d seen no sign of Rodón being hurt in his last start, so hopefully this is something that just needs to be managed rather than something that could lead to surgery. More updates to come, assuredly. Rodón had a 3.30 ERA in nine starts so far this year, striking out 52 and allowing just 32 hits in 46 1/3 innings pitched.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #45
Scott returns to New York’s rotation mix following a minimum stay on the injured list due to a hip impingement. The 27-year-old former top pitching prospect allowed three earned runs or fewer in eight consecutive starts prior to being tagged for four runs over 4 2/3 innings by the Cardinals during his last start before landing on the shelf. He holds an encouraging 3.10 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 47/19 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings this season. There’s some risk right out of the gate for fantasy managers in a matchup against Philadelphia’s high-powered lineup, but he’s a worthwhile pickup in deeper leagues where he was dropped.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #53
The saga is finally over. Woodruff will make his long-awaited return to Milwaukee’s rotation following a seven-week absence recovering from shoulder inflammation. The 33-year-old former fantasy ace shouldn’t have any workload restrictions after throwing 82 pitches during his final rehab outing for High-A Wisconsin earlier this week. The omnipresent durability concerns aren’t going away at this stage of Woodruff’s career, but he’s been a viable fantasy starter, when healthy, posting a 3.60 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio across 30 innings this season.
