Tennessee indefinitely suspended sophomore LB Aaron Beasley after he was accused of abusing a kitten.
This case is currently being investigated due to a complaint from a Tennessee student, who arrived home last week only to discover that her six-month-old kitten was in dire circumstance. The woman accused Beasley, her roommate’s boyfriend, of leaving the kitten in a bathroom and among other things, putting it in the toilet. The kitten was ultimately brought to a vet’s clinic in Knoxville, where evidence of brain injury caused by blunt force trauma as well as internal bleeding and bruising of the left kidney was discovered. Tennessee has suspended Beasley while the program awaits further information. This past season, the sophomore linebacker logged seven tackles in eight games. Beasley’s status for the coming season should clarify as this case comes together.
