The Suns announced on Thursday that they’ve waived Abdel Nader and released Justin Jackson.
With the additions of Aaron Holiday and Torrey Craig, the Suns needed to free up some space on the roster. Nader, who has missed most of this season due to a right knee injury, has been waived. Also headed out is Jackson, who was recently signed to a 10-day contract. Neither departure will have an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) will not play in Monday’s game against San Antonio.
Nader’s knee injury has been bothering him all season long. No need to have him on your fantasy radar.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Pacers.
Nader has only appeared in 14 games this season, with the majority of his missed time occurring because of the knee injury. There’s no need to consider stashing him in an IL+ slot, as the Suns don’t lack productive fantasy options on the wings.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader has cleared the health and safety protocols but is still recovering from a right knee injury and remains out for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Nader’s knee has been lingering for much of the season, and he’s not a great target even when he’s fully recovered.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader has entered health and safety protocols for the Suns while also dealing with his lingering right knee injury.
Nader hasn’t been able to stay healthy this season and his absence won’t have any fantasy impacts.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Nader, who has not appeared in a game since November 19, is not a relevant fantasy hoops option when healthy. Consider him to be out indefinitely until the Suns announce otherwise.

  • PHX Guard #1
Devin Booker (hamstring) and Abdel Nader (right knee) are both listed ‘out’ for Monday’s game against the Spurs.
Book will miss his third straight game with the hamstring injury he suffered in the Suns’ first matchup with the Warriors. Landry Shamet has started in Booker’s place in the two games he’s missed, and there’s no reason to think this will change. Shamet has averaged 11.5 points and 3.5 threes in those games. Nader hasn’t provided fantasy value this season.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader is out again on Saturday due to his knee injury.
His right knee has bothered him for most of the season and it’s unclear when he’ll play again, not that it matters in fantasyland.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader (right knee) will not play on Friday vs. the Knicks.
Nader’s playing status is irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

  • NBA Power Forward #11
Abdel Nader (right knee injury management) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
Nader’s status will not have an impact as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Leave him on the waiver wire.
