Panthers signed WR Ainias Smith, G Ja’Tyre Carter, G Saahdiq Charles, WR Dan Chisena, RB Montrell Johnson, OLB Jamil Muhammad, LB Maz Mwansa, TE Bryce Pierre, WR Ja’seem Reed, S Demani Richardson, RB Anthony Tyus, LB Jacoby Windmon, LB Jared Bartlett, CB Tyrek Funderburk and G Joshua Gray to reserve/futures deals.
The former fifth-round Eagles wideout did not have any NFL playing time in 2024 after a 7/41/1 debut for the Eagles in 2024. He spent the whole year with the Panthers practice squad and could have a chance to battle with lower-rung receivers like Brycen Tremayne for a roster spot in 2026.
  • FA Running Back #35
Free agent RB Keilan Robinson worked out for the Chargers on Friday.
Robinson was joined by free agent RBs, Amar Johnson, Anthony Tyus and Owen Wright. The Chargers’ Week 1 running back depth is shaky at the moment, with Najee Harris’ (eye) availability still up in the air.
  • SEA Linebacker #46
Seahawks signed LB Chazz Surratt, formerly of the 49ers, to a contract.
Surratt will likely contribute on special teams. The Seahawks also waived S D’Anthony Bell, signed rookie LB Chris Paul Jr. and WR/RS Courtney Jackson to the practice squad and released RB Anthony Tyus III and OLB Jalen Gaines from the practice squad in corresponding moves.
  • CAR Running Back #34
Northwestern received a verbal commitment from three-star 2021 RB Anthony Tyus.
Tyus (6'1/215) opted in with the Wildcats over the likes of Iowa State, Cincinnati and Central Michigan. The Portage, Michigan, native already has a college-ready body, but there’s a little more to his game than just three yards and a cloud of dust. He possesses a trustworthy pair of hands in the receiving game and a sneaky burst, with 247Sports’ Allen Trieu noting that Tyus “shows good play-speed on film and breaks away quite a bit for a back of his size.” On the 247Sports composite board, Tyus lands as the No. 20 prospect in the state of Michigan for the 2021 cycle.
