Panthers signed Clemson MLB Ben Boulware.
Boulware (6’0/238) made 31 starts as Clemson’s middle linebacker, recording 26 career tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, five interceptions, and six forced fumbles. He earned the 2016 Jack Lambert Award as the nation’s top linebacker and was voted ACC co-Defensive Player of the Year, sharing the honor with Florida State DT DeMarcus Walker. While Boulware was a difference-making college player, size and athletic limitations threaten his NFL ceiling, which may be special teams and a reserve role on defense. Boulware has short arms (30 ½") and managed a 4.85 forty at the his Pro Day.
