Distinctive B wins feature by 3 1/2 lengths at Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. -- Distinctive B took over early in the stretch and drew away inside the final eighth of a mile to win the $47,725 feature by 3 1/2 lengths Friday at Los Alamitos.

Ridden by Tyler Baze, Distinctive B ran six furlongs in 1:08.79 and paid $3.60, $2.60 and $2.60 as the 4-5 favorite.

Sir Samson returned $5.80 and $4.80 in his first start since Feb. 15. Paynes was another neck back in third and paid $9.20 to show at 23-1 odds.

The victory, worth $27,600, increased Distinctive B’s career earnings to $150,645, with five wins in 20 starts.

Trained by Peter Miller, the 5-year-old gelding is 2-0 at Los Alamitos.
