Vaughn Dalzell breaks down the rubber match between the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles.
Orioles (-170) at Royals (+150): O/U 9.5
Kansas City won its eighth game of the season yesterday and with the series tied up 1-1, today is the rubber match between the Royals and Orioles.
Jordan Lyles takes the mound for Kansas City and he is 0-5 with a 6.11 ERA over six starts. The Royals are 0-6 in Lyles’ six starts and have been out-scored 32 to 17 in those six games.
The Orioles are throwing Grayson Rodriguez out there for his sixth start of the season. Rodriguez is 1-0 with a 4.07 ERA and an impressive .214 OBA against hitters on the road along with a 3.60 ERA over three starts and 15 innings.
Kansas City is now 2-13 in its 15 home games this year and 1-5 on the ML following a win, plus 2-4 on the run line as an underdog. While I lost on Baltimore yesterday, I will run it back on the Orioles ML to win the series and parlay it with the Blue Jays ML as they look to avoid getting swept by the Red Sox.
I played Baltimore on the ML at -170 odds and would go to -190 for risking 1 unit. Hopefully Baltimore’s offense shows up today. The Orioles and Blue Jays ML Parlay is +158 odds.
Pick: Orioles ML (Risk 1u), Blue Jays and Orioles ML Parlay (Risk 1u)
