Vladimir Gutierrez O/U 3.5 Strikeouts vs. Brewers
Vladimir Gutierrez and the Reds have had one disappointing start to the season.
The Reds pitcher has 15 walks to 11 strikeouts in 17.0 innings (4 starts). Vlad has recorded four or fewer strikeouts in all four starts. He is 0-4 with an ERA of 7.41.
In his last six road starts, he went 5.0 innings or less in all of them with four or fewer Ks in five. He hit Under 3.5 Ks in four of six.
Gutierrez has a career 11.5 K% versus the current Brewers hitters on 52 plate appearances, per baseball savant. Gutierrez has more walks (7) than strikeouts (6) against this group.
In Gutierrez’s young career, he faced the Brewers three times and was outstanding the first two times with six and seven strikeouts through 13.0 total innings. However, those two starts came within a week of each other.
In the third, he went 6.0 innings but did not strike out anyone, walked two and allowed five hits and one earned run. The Brewers were ready for them.
I think they will be again tonight. I played the Under 3.5 K for +108 and would play out to -130.
Pick: Vladimir Gutierrez Under 3.5 Strikeouts (1u)

Yusei Kikuchi O/U 4.5 Strikeouts vs. Yankees
This guy has been automatic for us this season and there is no point in stopping with the Yankees continuing their winning streak (now 11).
Yusei Kikuchi has recorded four or fewer strikeouts in all four starts totaling 13 Ks and 13 walks in 14.2 innings with 15 hits (nine earned runs).
The Blue Jays pitcher has struggled with his control and has yet to exceed 5.0 innings and lasted 3.2 or fewer in three starts. The Yankees have a powerful lineup, and Kikuchi is no Alek Manoah.
In his season opener versus New York, Kikuchi had two strikeouts, two walks, five hits and two earned runs in 3.1 innings (84 pitches). I don’t think we will get that exact same outcome, but I don’t believe it will be much different.
The Yankees hitters have a .356 OBA, 13.3 K%, 16.4 whiff % and 26 hits to 11 strikeouts and nine walks over 83 plate appearances.
I grabbed Kikuchi Under 4.5 Strikeouts for -105 odds. I would play out to -150.
Pick: Yusei Kikuchi Under 4.5 Strikeouts (1u)
