Luis Garcia O/U 0.5 Home Runs Allowed vs. Braves
Luis Garcia will make his second-ever World Series start as he takes on the Braves in Atlanta.
Garcia went 2.0 innings on 37 pitches for two walks and one strikeout. He was used as an opener, but that will not be the case here.
So far this postseason, Garcia was terrible up until his previous start of seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched. He still owns a 9.64 ERA in the postseason with 10 earned runs, seven walks and two homers allowed through three starts.
During the regular season, Garcia allowed a home run in nine out of 15 road starts (60%), per statmuse. That number is now 10 of 16 (62.5%) if you include his first start of the postseason at the Chicago White Sox.
While Garcia has never met any Atlanta hitters, postseason baseball only takes one monster crack of the bat to win this prop. Atlanta hit a home run off four of the last five RHP they faced in the postseason, per statmuse.
The Braves have five homers in their five home playoff games and 15 over 12 postseason games total. Only the Red Sox hit more (22).
Two Braves hitters went yard in Game 1 and one in Game 2. With Atlanta scoring seven runs in the first five innings of this series and 18 over the last five (3.6 runs per game) -- I like the Braves to be aggressive enough to hit a homer off Garcia at home in Game 3 with the series tied 1-1.
It is postseason World Series baseball, and we are in Atlanta.
Let’s have some fun. I grabbed this at +105 and would play it out to -110.
Pick: Luis Garcia Over 0.5 Home Runs Allowed (1u)
