Dolphins at Bengals (-3.5): O/U 47.5

People are saying this could be the best Thursday Night Football game yet, but I wouldn’t say that.

If you didn’t catch Tua Tagovailoa getting destroyed and pulled from the game because of a suspected concussion, then you might have missed him coming back into the game and assisting the Dolphins for a second-straight comeback win. The video of his possible concussion is below, per Andrew Peters.

Entering Week 4, the Dolphins said Tua will not be in concussion protocol and will play on Thursday Night Football.

I have no idea how that is in Tua’s best interest as far as health and safety, let alone allowing him to finish the Bills game, but I definitely think the Bengals have an advantage beyond that.

The Dolphins played their hearts out in a full 60 minutes against the Bills to pull out its second-straight comeback win after doing the same versus the Ravens at a much deeper deficit.

Miami used a late fourth-quarter touchdown in a back-and-forth physical game to beat the Bills by two points but had to outscore the Ravens 28-3 in the fourth-quarter to win by four points.

After playing two difficult back-to-back physical and maximum energy games, this is a major letdown spot for the Dolphins on a short week and playing on the road.

We also have chatter back and forth between the teams as Miami’s WR Tyreek Hill called out Cincy’s CB Eli Apple.

The Bengals secondary and defense in general continues to be an underrated unit. The Bengals have allowed the seventh-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.6), the defense owns the fourth-best first down percentage (26.4%) and the fewest passing touchdowns (2) through three games.

I would be surprised if the Dolphins had enough gas in the fourth quarter offensively and defensively to hang with the Bengals. Cincy rolled the Jets as expected and are going to be very excited at the chance to go from 0-2 to 2-2.

I will likely bet live bet the Bengals at halftime on the 2H spread as Miami playing 12 physical quarters of football back-to-back-to-back will be a lot to ask for.

As a reminder, the Bengals Zac Taylor is one of the best coaches at making second-half adjustments in all of football.

I risked 1.5 units and bought -3 at -124 odds, getting rid of the hook on the Bengals at DraftKings.

I prefer the -3 over the -3.5 but do believe Cincy wins by -4 or more points.

Pick: Bengals -3 (Risk 1.5u)
