Week 3 action in the USFL features a primetime matchup between the New Jersey Generals and Philadelphia Stars. Game odds via PointsBet.

New Jersey Generals vs. Philadelphia Stars (-2.5) Total: 40.5

Tonight the Philadelphia Stars and the New Jersey Generals each look to extend their winning streak to two games. The Stars are coming off a seven-point victory over the Maulers, while the Generals are coming off a four-point win vs. the Michigan Panthers.

The Philadelphia Stars currently have the third-shortest odds to win the USFL title. Last week vs. the Maulers the Stars passing game woke up. Stars quarterback Bryan Scott threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns.

Last week the New Jersey Generals gave up less than 200 yards of total offense against the Michigan Panthers. However, in week one the Stallions scored four touchdowns vs. the Generals. The Stars will present that same type of problem this week.

The Stars and the Generals are the top teams in the USFL North division. This matchup will go a long way in seeing who will be the eventual division champs.

Earlier this week, sportsbooks opened up this game with the Stars as one-point favorites, but PointsBet now has the Stars as 2.5-point favorites. I would agree with the steam on the Stars. To be safe, I’m playing them on the Money Line.
