A rematch of Super Bowl LX kicks off the 2026 NFL Season! It’s the Patriots taking a trip to Lumen Field to face not only the Seahawks, but the 12th man. Seattle won Super Bowl LX, 29-13 and dominated all aspects of the matchup. New England trailed by as many as 22 and
didn’t score until early in the fourth quarter. No doubt the Patriots are seeking revenge tonight.
Seattle enters 2026 with the fourth-best odds to win the Super Bowl, but they aren’t even the favorite to win their division. That’s the Rams. The Seahawks return most of their core from last season but did lose Kenneth Walker in free agency (Chiefs). They drafted Jadarian Price (Notre Dame) to fill that void. He joins Sam Darnold in the backfield and out wide is Darnold’s No. 1 option and the 2025 NFL OPOY, Jaxson Smith-Njigba who is healthy and ready to roll. In addition, the Seahawks’ calling card is their defense and it is expected to once again be one of the most fearsome units in the NFL.
New England was targeted by the media for having a cupcake schedule last year, but this year that won’t be a problem. The Patriots play at Seattle, Jacksonville, and Buffalo in the first four weeks of the season, plus trips to Chicago, Los Angeles, and Kansas City, and home games against Green Bay, Buffalo, Minnesota, and Denver. New England will go through the wringer this season, but they did Drake Maye justice by adding WRs A.J. Brown (Eagles) and Romeo Doubs (Packers). On defense, New England signed S Kevin Byard (Bears) and extended CB Christian Gonzalez to beef up their secondary for the short and long-term.
Let dive into the numbers and see if we can’t find an additional sweat or two.

Expert picks & predictions for Patriots at Seahawks
Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) leans Drake Maye to go Under his 0.5 interceptions prop and an A.J. Brown touchdown:
“In 2024, Drake Maye threw two interceptions in his first start as a rookie and in 2025, Maye tossed a pick in the season-opener versus the Raiders. Will Maye throw an interception in Seattle after tossing two in the Super Bowl?
The Patriots signed two offensive lineman and two receivers after being sacked 21 times in the playoffs and posting a 58.3 completion percentage. A.J. Brown is obviously the biggest addition this offseason for New England and the if May is smart, he will force a connection.
Brown is listed at 5.5 receptions for +120 odds to the Over, but I’d rather play Brown at +155 to score a touchdown in his Patriots debut. For -112 odds though, I will take a shot on Maye to have a clean shot and to go Under his 0.5 interceptions prop in Seattle.”
