Mariners optioned RHPs Brandon Brennan and Wyatt Mills to their alternate site; optioned RHP Sam Delaplane to Triple-A Tacoma; re-assigned RHPs Nick Duron, Emerson Hancock, George Kirby, Darren McCaughan, Jaime Schultz, LHP Brandon Williamson, Cs Carter Bins and Josh Morgan and INF Jordan Cowan to minor league camp.
Brennan was the only one here who really had a shot to break camp with the big club, but he’s being sent out after walking four and allowing three runs -- two earned -- over two innings this spring. He should wind up logging plenty of appearances in the majors this season. Mills and Delaplane also have a shot to debut in 2021.
