Twins signed RHP Brandon Lawson to a minor league contract.

The 27-year-old hurler spent the 2021 campaign in the Astros organization where he posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 75/29 K/BB ratio across 95 1/3 innings at Double-A Corpus Christi. Lawson split his time between the rotation and the bullpen in 2021 and given the Twins current lack of depth in their starting rotation, he may make his long-awaited big league debut during the upcoming 2022 season.
